Gregory Scott Newsome

Mr. Gregory Scott Newsome has a wide experience with SMEs, having started, operated, acquired, sold, turned-around, funded, advised, mentored, brokered, invested and was a board director in numerous private and publicly traded companies, predominately in North America, Europe & South East Asian regions. Born in Virginia, USA, and traveled extensively throughout North America. He has also lived in London, England and has been living in Colombo, Sri Lanka since 2005. Mr. Newsome holds a BBA Degree in Finance with a focus on Derivative Securities and Investments from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA.

Mr. Newsome was on the forefront of electronic trading in the mid ‘ ’90’s having been an electronic trading professional, helping open trading offices around the US and presenting technical material in seminars and training classes. He authored ”SoesBook’, a technical book and reference guide for trading on the NASDAQ. He was also an expert witness on electronic trading systems and worked as a multi-exchange consultant for European and South Asian Stock Trading Firms and Exchanges. As an investor and corporate strategist, Mr. Newsome focused on price discrepancies and distressed opportunities for global hedge funds as well as his personal portfolio. Presently, Mr. Newsome & his long-time business partner, Dr. Kosala Heengama, are focused on servicing underserviced foreign markets by providing corporate advisory and financial solutions to growing SMEs who are seeking capital and have the interest to become a publicly listed company on the ‘ ‘USA’s OTC Market, NASDAQ or NYSE exchanges.
